Branded Emails

the mission

Oh, the small yet mighty email. Because it’s one of the most frequent forms of brand marketing an audience interacts with, it’s easy to not spare a second glance. But on the contrary, email marketing is a balancing act that requires finesse to pull off successfully.

For each email that a brand sends out, a few things need to be considered:

  1. Provide just the right amount of copy. A lengthy email will be deleted. But not enough information to entice, and it’ll be ignored. A good email message should be in and out quickly and efficiently.

  2. Punchy headlines keep them scrolling. Put your strongest words up top to grab attention, then follow up with the details to back it up.

  3. Straight-forward subject lines. This doesn’t mean boring, but they should be a clear teaser for what’s inside. Even a line like “Something Big Just Landed” will let the audience know to expect a surprise!

Now that you know my steps, here are a few examples of emails I’ve created:

Subject Line: Better Pairs For a Better Planet

Subject Line: The Winter Blues (in a Good Way!)

Subject Line: Curvy Girls, This One’s for You!

Subject Line: Need Some Motion Motivation?

Subject Line: PSA: It's Officially Shorts Season

Subject Line: Low Rise Looks to Make Britney Proud!

Subject Line: Need New Shorts? Step Right Up!
